Empowering young people to own their future economic success

our programs


JA Tanzania gives young people the knowledge and skills to start and manage their own businesses and to apply entrepreneurial thinking to solve everyday problems. JA Tanzania entrepreneurship programs reach students in and out of the classroom, giving them the opportunities to start and run businesses and to become familiar with the realities of being business owners.


JA expands young people ability to manage their personal finances smartly and effectively. Starting as young as age seven, programs begin to introduce young children to essential concepts like earning, saving, spending, banking. Program complexity mature and become more sophisticated as students advance in their academic careers and are able to understand more.


JA prepares young people for entering the workforce by giving them first-hand insight into the world of work and developing their soft and hard skills to obtain, thrive in and keep a job. Programs each students how to create CVs, how to interview for jobs, how to establish digital identities, how to behave in the workplace, from personal presentation and applying soft skills to being proactive problem-solvers who create or add value for their employers.

"I joined JA Company Program in 2016, and i was elected to be a Managing Director in my company. I learnt many things including the how a company is formed and its operations, with my position in the company, I learnt how to be a good leader. I learnt also how to deal with many challenges in production, finance marketing and many more. And the most important lesson is how to act as Managing Director, proper decision making and controlling all company activities".

"I am a Burudian refugee at Nyarugusu camp in Kigoma. I participate a JA ITS TYME tranning in 2016 under the sponsorship of Good Neighbors Tanzania. After going through the training I learnt new techniques on how to keep and prepare financial properly, approach customer, conduct marketing research, market expansion and all this has helped me expand my farming business. Now my capital has grown from 30,000 to 720,000. I started farming in one acre, but now my market has grown and expanded to six to acres".
